Monkeyboy is a pet name given to our first son. With him, came a whole world of imagination, wonder and fantasy. We realized that there aren't too many garments out there that capture the spirit of childhood. So, in the Spring of 2004, Monkeyboy Clothing Company was birthed from this inspiration. Their bright wonder-filled eyes and awe-inspired way of living reminds us of what life is all about. We believe in making a child's life full of laughter. We believe in giving them wings and dreaming right along with them. We hope the imagination they begin with will only unfold into adulthood and create extraordinary people. Our goal is to create something new and fresh to share with others who have an inspiring little monkey of their own. We hope you enjoy it! We are.

What many people don't realize is that conventional cotton is extremely harmful to the environment. In fact, conventional cotton farming consumes 25% of the total amount of chemical pesticides and fertilizers used on all crops combined. In the US alone, roughly 600,000 tons of pesticides and fertilizers are applied to cotton fields each season. These chemicals, which contain dozens of cancer causing agents, leach into the soil affecting the land, drinking water, animals, and humans. Organic cotton is grown in fields where the use of pesticides has been discontinued for at least 3 years and where rigorous controls help to rebuild the soil's natural fertility. Be a critical consumer! Purchase organic cotton products and help us maintain a sustainable environment.
